Below you'll find brief descriptions of our departments and the opportunities available within them.
Accounting
The Raymond James Accounting Department consists of several sub-departments specializing in areas such as payroll, accounts payable, treasury, bank reconciliation, accounting systems, financial reporting and cost allocations. Positions include: staff accountants, payroll specialists, cost analysts, treasury specialists and more.
Alternative Investments/Wealth Solutions
The Raymond James Alternative Investments Group carefully reviews and selects high-quality, non-traditional investment products to serve the more extensive financial needs of certain qualified investors. Wealth Solutions is a consultative resource for financial advisors focused on targeting and servicing the high-net-worth investor. Opportunities would include positions focused on due diligence, marketing and sales, and case management.
Asset Management Group
Asset Management Services, Eagle Asset Management and the Heritage Family of Mutual Funds give exposure to the sales, analytical and trading facets of the financial business. Opportunities are available in trading, research, analysis, marketing and administrative support.
Ballast Point Ventures
Ballast Point Ventures provides capital to private high-growth companies, assists them in realizing their maximum value, and helps them navigate through IPO's and mergers. Analyst opportunities may exist.
Business Development
Business development departments focus on growing the firm through new affiliations with Financial Advisors, Registered Representatives and Investment Advisors via the AdvisorChoiceSM platform; as well as through affiliations with correspondent firms and independent banks. Opportunities exist in recruiting and support.
Compliance
Raymond James Compliance ensures adherence to all rules, regulations, policies and standards that govern the firm and the securities industry. Positions in Compliance cover a wide range of roles such as auditing and educating branches, anti-money laundering review, responding to complaint and regulatory inquiries, establishing and monitoring control mechanisms, and registering firm representatives.
Corporate Travel and Meetings
This department delivers corporate travel and meetings services, manages planning/budgets for meetings and travel, and negotiates hotel and travel vendor contracts. In-house meeting planners are responsible for corporate functions, sales and incentive trips. Corporate relocation is also handled on an as-needed basis.
Correspondent Clearing
Correspondent Clearing acts as a liaison between correspondent firms (who contract with Raymond James & Associates to provide back office services) and RJ operations departments.
Customer Operations
Customer Operations is a primary contact area between our retail branches and the home office. Services include reviewing and maintaining new and existing accounts, account transfers, credit, portfolio reporting, purchase and sales in addition to services specific to various retirement plans.
Equity Capital Markets
Equity Capital Markets provides a full spectrum of investment banking and capital markets services, using an industry-focused, knowledge-driven approach, backed by our renowned equity research team. Positions may be available in our St. Petersburg headquarters and/or off-site locations (New York, California, Chicago, etc...) for undergrads, MBAs and experienced professionals. CM opportunities include positions such as Investment Bankers, Institutional Sales, Sales Traders, and Research Analysts.
Fixed Income
The Fixed Income Department includes Municipal and Taxable Fixed Income, Public Finance and Fixed Income Research. Retail and Institutional Sales and Trading are also part of the Municipal and Taxable Fixed Income areas. While these departments are headquartered in our St. Petersburg headquarters, fixed income sales representatives also work in several other large cities around the country. These positions require experience and education in finance, accounting, economics and mathematics.
Financial & Retirement Services
This department is a technical resource for financial advisors regarding all planning areas including financial, tax, estate, retirement, education and risk management. Various teams within the department include Planner Consulting, 401(k) Consulting, Financial Planning Software Support, Raymond James Institute of Finance and the BIO program. These positions require expertise and education in financial and retirement planning.
Human Resources
The Human Resources Department is instrumental in recruiting and retaining talent for the firm and in assisting associates with benefits and ongoing development. Opportunities exist related to training, recruitment, testing and assessment, associate relations, compensation, HR systems, records and group insurance.
Internal Audit
The Raymond James Internal Audit Department conducts audits of all Raymond James Financial departments to ensure compliance with security regulations and company policies and to recommend improvements in policies and procedures.
Information Technology
Leveraging leading-edge technology and a staff of more than 800 associates, the Information Technology Department supports Raymond James through a variety of strategic solutions that offer greater business efficiency, ensure data security and privacy, and support new business opportunities for our financial advisors and firm. Our team includes, but is not limited to, software and systems engineers, system architects, business analysts, quality assurance and testing analysts, database administrators, system operation analysts, IT security engineers and analysts, product and project managers, technical writers and trainers, and a variety of support technicians and customer support specialists.
Insurance
Raymond James has its own highly successful insurance affiliate, Planning Corporation of America (PCA), to provide quality insurance alternatives for our clients and financial advisors. Opportunities exist in sales, case management, licensing, administrative support and more.
Legal
The Legal Department provides legal representation for the firm and its financial advisors. Most positions require a law degree or paralegal experience.
Marketing
The Raymond James Marketing Department supports the firm's marketing planning, advertising and corporate communications. It also has its own in-house agency composed of account managers and creative services professionals. Positions require strong analytical, writing, design or technical skills.
Mutual Fund Research & Marketing
This department provides objective, comprehensive open-end mutual fund research and related resources to help financial advisors leverage their time and build their business. Opportunities would include positions focused on due diligence and analysis.
Office Services
The Office Services Department is responsible for The Eatery, corporate realty services, distribution services, facilities plant operations, laser services, inserter operations, IT purchasing, administration, printing plant, purchasing, safety and security.
Program Management Office
The Program Management Office provides resources provisioning, prioritization, approval and sponsorship of specific projects. This team uses industry-standard practices to strategically plan and deliver projects on time and in a cost-effective manner that meets all stakeholder expectations within the firm.
Private Client Group Services
Private Client Group Services: Branch Services and Client Services serve as a resource in getting questions answered and issues resolved for branch staff and clients respectively. Transition Management works with financial advisors affiliating with Raymond James to assist them in transitioning their business to the firm by educating them on company operations and technology, and acting as a liaison with back office if any challenges arise. Positions include transition consultants, service advisors and more.
Raymond James & Associates PCG Administration
The Raymond James & Associates PCG AdministrationDepartment focuses on supporting the branch management, financial advisors and operations staff of the traditional and Advisors Select employee model of the AdvisorChoice platform. Areas of concentration include growing the firm through new branch offices and financial advisor affiliations, women's programs and financial accountability.
Raymond James Bank
Raymond James Bank, FSB is a federally chartered savings bank located on the campus of Raymond James Financial. It offers diversified banking services in all 50 states. There are openings for qualified lenders, systems administrators, client service representatives, credit card representatives and more.
Raymond James Capital
Raymond James Capital functions as the merchant banking division of Raymond James Financial. Raymond James Capital is interested in opportunities where there is a clear opportunity to enhance the value of the business through our financial and board-level involvement in partnership with management. Investments include minority positions in rapidly growing companies, recapitalizations of family-owned businesses and managed buyouts.
Raymond James International Holdings, Inc.
Raymond James International Holdings, Inc. ("RJIH") develops, oversees and manages foreign joint ventures, concentrating primarily in emerging markets. RJIH currently has operations in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Turkey and France, and affiliated institutional sales desks in New York that support the foreign joint ventures. The range of business activities of the foreign joint ventures include institutional equity research, sales, trading, corporate finance, asset management and retail brokerage activities.
Raymond James Tax Credit Funds
Raymond James Tax Credit Funds is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial. Since 1974, Raymond James Tax Credit Funds has been among the leading syndicators of affordable housing.
Raymond James Trust Company
Raymond James Trust Company offers comprehensive trust services for individuals and institutions, including all types of trusts, wills and estate planning. Positions usually require trust experience, knowledge of accounting principles and good communications skills.
Securities Operations
Securities Operations consists of multiple departments that perform functions such as security receipt, domestic and international trade settlement and clearance, tax reporting, corporate actions and mutual fund processing. Securities Operations also reconciles our holdings with outside depositories and numerous mutual fund companies, as well as ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
Training and Development
The mission of Raymond James University and other training and development programs offered in individual departments is to provide associates with opportunities for personal and professional development through continuing education. Additional areas of focus within the firm include branch operations education and a financial advisor training program.
