1) Should current RJ associates use raymondjames.com to apply for open positions?

No, Raymond James employees should go in through RJnet and apply online through the Taleo link. You will need to know your employee ID number, which can be found in ESS.

2) I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

An e-mail will be sent to the address you provided when you registered. If you do not receive it at that address, please verify the following details:

  • Your e-mail software does not have a filter that prevents you from receiving e-mails from people outside of a certain list of contacts.
    Solution: Modify your list of contacts.

  • You don’t have a filter that classifies the e-mails that you receive.
    Solution: Please verify all your folders.

  • Your email service does not block e-mails with HTML attachments.
    Solution: Please change your e-mail provider.

  • Your email service does not have problems receiving e-mail. As of May 2008, intermittent email receipt problems have been reported by Yahoo! account holders.
    Solution: Please check with your e-mail provider.

3) I forgot my login/user name. How do I retrieve it?

For the system to identify your unique candidate record and retrieve your user name, you will be required to provide personal information. You will need to enter your first name, middle name, last name, street address, e-mail address and/or phone number. Note: an e-mail address usually works best as a user ID.

4) I forgot my security question and/or answer. How do I retrieve it?

It is not possible to retrieve your security question or answer. For compliance and security reasons, we do not have access to that information. You must start over and upload your information into the system again.

5) Which browsers are supported by the career site?

This Career Center supports the following browsers and versions:

6) What document formats can I upload and which ones are supported by the resume parsing tool?

  • Text files (.txt)
  • Hypertext mark up language (.htm; .html)
  • Adobe Acrobat (.pdf)
  • Rich text format (.rtf)
  • WordPerfect (.wpd)
  • MS Word (.doc)

MS Excel (.xls) files may be uploaded, but are not supported by the resume parsing tool.

You cannot attach a file that exceeds the allocated limit of 100 kilobytes.

You can attach a maximum of 5 files at one time.

Note: as of May 2008, MS Works Word Processor (.wps) and Office 2007 file formats are not supported in this system.

7) How do I submit my resume using Mac OS?

To submit your resume using Mac OS, ensure it is saved as a .doc. pdf or .rtf file.

8) Can I upload multiple resumes?

Yes, you can. You can up load a maximum of five documents to the system. We suggest that you label your resume with the specific job number you are applying to. For example, smith0800295.doc. This will help you keep track of the resumes you submit for each position.

9) How can I delete attachments from the system?

It is not possible to delete an existing file. However, you can overwrite a file by uploading a new file with the same name as the existing one.

10) How can I change my e-mail address?

In order to change your e-mail address, you must access your personal information in a Candidate Profiler or a Job Specific Application. Go to the login page and enter as a returning user using your old e-mail address. On the Personal Information page, enter your new e-mail address in the E-MAIL ADDRESS field, and then click the Continue button at the bottom of the page. The new e-mail address is your new user name.

11) Do I have to log in to search jobs?

No. You can search jobs without creating a profile or logging in. Applicant Login.

12) How do I apply to a job?

The best way to apply to a job at Raymond James is through this website. Applicant Login.

If you find a position you want to apply to, you will be asked to create a profile. After you log in, follow the instructions to enter your profile and submit your resume.

13) How can I find out if a job that matches my skills is posted?

You can elect to receive e-mails when a position that matches your profile is posted. You will need to fill out a profile to do this.

14) How do I know my resume was received?

You will receive an e-mail confirming that your resume was received.

15) What is the application process?

When you apply to a position, your profile and answers to any job questions are measured against the job requirements. As our recruiters match candidates for current opportunities, you may be contacted.

In some cases, you may not hear from us right away, which may indicate that at this time we don’t have an opportunity that matches your skills. 16) I have an interview. What can I do to prepare?

Raymond James’ interviewing style is behavioral based. This means our recruiters and hiring managers will ask about specific professional situations you’ve been in and your accomplishments. For example, if you mention that you’re efficient, you’ll be asked to provide specific examples from your work history that illustrate this.

18) How long does the hiring process take?

The process varies, but most people have at least two rounds of on-site face-to-face interviews. We make every effort to provide feedback to all candidates regarding interviews, either in writing or in person.

20) If I don’t get this job, can I continue to apply for other Raymond James positions?

21) What is the salary range of the position I applied to?

All of our jobs have a broad salary range that accommodates those employees who are becoming proficient at their positions and those who are already quite skilled. Your starting salary will depend upon your experience and perceived proficiency at your job.
