FIFTEEN RAYMOND JAMES ADVISORS NAMED
TO BANK INVESTMENT CONSULTANT’S TOP 50 LIST

New York - Bank Investment Consultant magazine has announced its annual ranking of the Top 50 Bank Reps. The prestigious list featured 15 Raymond James Financial Services advisors, the most by any firm. In addition, RJFS placed five advisors within the top 10 spots, with Charlene Carter of Siuslaw Bank/RJFS in Eugene, Ore., placing first on the list.

Following a rigorous search, the BIC Top 50 represents the best producers in the bank branch system ranked by their production-to-retail-deposits ratio.

The 15 Raymond James-affiliated advisors are dual employees of RJFS and their financial institution per an agreement between the bank and the Financial Institutions Division of RJFS (RJFS-FID).

John Houston, Managing Director of RJFS-FID, stated “Being named to the BIC Top 50 is a great achievement and everyone at Raymond James congratulates these 15 outstanding individuals. We’re very proud of their recognition. For Raymond James to have 15 advisors make this year’s list is a testament to their dedication and success, and is symbolic of the quality service provided by each of these reps, their financial institution and RJFS-FID.”

At the top of the list, Carter credits her past experience as a high school math teacher and coach for her success. Leveraging her teaching skills to educate members of the community about investing, she has been able to develop the same strategies when communicating with her clients. In addition, Carter complements her investment and financial knowledge with strong relationship skills, which she learned from her parents, who started the bank in 1964. Carter offers comprehensive financial services through customized plans and portfolios designed to meet her client’s financial goals.

Patrick Varney of the Bank of Colorado/RJFS made the list at number three. Varney has worked to develop a strong referral network with CPAs, attorneys, bank executives and new account representatives, a strategy that has been very successful for him.

Outside of the office, Varney is active within his community, volunteering his time with the Optimist Club and serving on the board of the local chamber of commerce.

Four RJFS advisors had the distinction of repeating as winners. Brick Sturgeon (#8), Bern Mahon (#21), Ken Wren, Sr. (#36) and Bob Anderson (#42), made the Top 50 list for the second consecutive year. Four additional advisors, Philip Moses (#7), Peter McFarland (#9), Dan Bay (#37) and Kim Dignum (#43) all demonstrated growth in their practices by moving up from Honorable Mention status in 2006 to their current rankings within the top 50 in 2007.
