RAYMOND JAMES ANALYSTS RECEIVE
TOP HONORS IN THE WALL STREET JOURNAL,
FINANCIAL TIMES/STARMINE SURVEYS

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Ten Raymond James Financial Equity Research analysts recently received top honors in the 7th annual Financial Times/StarMine Analyst Awards and four analysts were given top stock picking awards in The Wall Street Journal’s 16th annual “Best on the Street” analyst survey.

The Financial Times/StarMine survey highlights the year’s best performances based on the return of stock recommendations and accuracy of earnings estimates for calendar year 2007. Raymond James finished ninth among all firms in the industry with 10 analysts receiving awards in 13 categories.

With four analysts individually recognized, The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” analyst survey ranked Raymond James 18 out of 260 brokerage firms evaluated. This survey is based solely on stock selection across 45 industry sectors.

  • Chris Quilty, who ranked first in Aerospace & Defense,
  • Jim Parker, who ranked first in Airlines,
  • Michael Baker, who ranked first in Healthcare Providers & Services,
  • Paul Puryear and Buck Horne, who ranked first in Household Durables,
  • Joseph Hovorka, who ranked first in Leisure Equipment & Products,
  • Bill Fisher, who ranked third in Commercial Services & Supplies, and
  • Dan Wewer, who ranked third in Specialty Retail.

Award winners for the Financial Times/StarMine estimate accuracy include:

  • Joseph Hovorka, who ranked first in Hotels & Leisure, second in Leisure Equipment & Products, and was chosen as one of the top 10 overall estimators across all industries,
  • Jim Parker, who ranked third in Airlines,
  • Sam Darkatsh, who ranked third in Household Durables, and
  • Brian Elliott, who ranked third in Restaurants.

Award winners for The Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” analyst survey include:

  • Paul Puryear, who ranked first in Home Construction & Furnishings,
  • John Ransom, who ranked third in Food & Drug Retail,
  • Jim Rollyson, who ranked third in Mining & Metals, and
  • Ric Prentiss, who ranked fifth in Telecommunications – Mobile.
