Raymond James Financial and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued an important tradition during the 2009 season – combining the team’s on-field success with the goal of helping children. Through the 10th annual Kicking for Kids program, Raymond James made contributions to local children's hospitals in each city where the Buccaneers successfully kicked a field goal during their regular season games.
For every field goal made during the 2009 season, Raymond James donated $500 to the home team's chosen hospital, providing well-needed support to children in many cities throughout the United States. Even if the Bucs didn’t kick any field goals during a particular game, a donation of $500 was still made.
Since the Raymond James Kicking for Kids program began in 2000, it has raised more than $180,000 for children’s hospitals in cities where the Buccaneers have played.
“At Raymond James, we believe our firm and our associates should give something back to the communities in which we live and work,” explained Chairman and CEO Thomas A. James. “Supporting worthy charities and organizations such as children’s hospitals is a long-standing tradition at Raymond James.”
