Raymond James welcomes experienced California advisor managing $165 million

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor Craig H. Barker, CFP®, to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm's employee advisor channel – in Roseville, California, according to John Simmons, California regional director for RJA.

Barker arrives from Stifel, where he managed approximately $165 million in client assets and is joined by senior client service associate Sharon A. Bracken-Barker. The team serves a variety of clients, from business owners to retirees, with sophisticated wealth management strategies. They operate as part of RJA's Roseville branch, led by branch manager Craig Weis.

"Raymond James' bottom-up corporate model and emphasis on the client-advisor relationship were at the forefront of our decision to join the firm," said Barker. "During this transition process, we found everyone from management to the support staff went above and beyond, with full intent on equipping our team with the tools, technology and help we need to serve our clients and grow our practice."

Barker brings more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry to his role as first vice president, wealth management. He previously served as an advisor for 15 years at Stifel and 15 years at AG Edwards. Barker earned a bachelor's degree in architecture from UC Berkeley and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM  professional designation.
